7:30 AM - 9:30 AM
The Tampa Club

Corporate board members are being challenged as never before.  Economic realities, stakeholder expectations and an expected wave of regulations means "business as usual" is a nonstarter.  What do you need to know?  What can you and your board do to ensure continued high performance?  What can you do to restore public trust?

Our expert panelists will share the current legislative actions taking place on the Hill and how these will effect Boards in the coming days and discuss how the economic crisis has eroded public and investor confidence in corporate governance.  They will provide an update on the global and U.S. economy - as well as within the state of Florida - and provide highlights on how Boards should be reacting to these economic challenges.

Naples, FL  34108

In March, RMG/ISS brings Governance Risk Indicators (GRId) on lineGRId, RMG/ISS's new tool for assessing governance risk, replaces the well-known Corporate Governance Quotient (CGQ).  Powering GRId is a new methodology that will gauge risk across four key areas -- audit, board, compensation and shareholders rights -- of boardroom oversight.  Be among the first directors in the nation to get an in-depth understanding of this new tool and potentially electric development.  Among the questions addressed will be:  How does GRId differ from CGQ?  What new governance factors are included in GRId?  What CGQ factors won't be factored into the new methodology?  How will boards and institutional investors react to the new tool?
